Aotearoa is teeming with incredible individuals and organisations championing sustainable design practices and it's important we celebrate our home grown talent. Learning from their successes can spark new ideas for your own projects.
Here are 3 ways we're seeing sustainable designers practice kaitiakitanga:
1. They embrace rransparency with clients: Educate them on the benefits of sustainable materials like recycled plastic panels. Explain how these choices contribute to the circular economy.
2. They seek out sustainable partners: Collaborate with manufacturers and suppliers committed to eco-friendly practices.
3. They design for durability & future use: Opt for high-quality materials like Cleanstone panels for a long-lasting fit-out. Consider modular furniture and interior systems that are future proofed.
