When people ask me which Cleanstone thickness they should use, my answer is usually: it depends what the panel is actually doing.
A lot of projects get over-specified here. Not because the designer got it wrong.
Just because people often default to what feels safest, instead of what the project actually needs.
So in this video I break down how I’d think about it for a commercial fit-out.
3–6mm is where I’d go for lightweight surface layers like splashbacks, shower liners, signage, display panels, and curved applications.
9–12mm is usually the move for vertical surfaces like wall linings, decorative panels, and retail backdrops.
18mm is the standard joinery thickness and probably the most versatile option we make. That’s your cupboard doors, drawer fronts, carcasses, and furniture.
24–30mm is where you want more visual weight. Benchtops, counters, and table tops where the thickness becomes part of the design.
Most projects do not need the thickest option. They just need the right one.
