My mate Manawa and I drove to Napier on Friday to work on a product launch but I did not expect this to happen...
SOUND ON 😅 😂 🤣 + Watch Video
That said, we're stoked to introduce an upcoming product launch dropping this Friday! I won't give too much detail but it's crafted from Critical. Cleanstone - 100% recycled soft plastics and fishing nets and it’s a kaupapa close to our hearts, blending toi Māori with modern innovation to help create a better future for te taiao (our natural world) and our granchildren. 🌊
And here's why this launch matters:
🌱 It's where sustainability meet storytelling: This kaupapa will be helping to combat the 8 million tonnes of plastic that end up in the ocean each year (UNEP).
🔨 Versatility in Design: I'm excited because this kaupapa showcases that Cleanstone is not only durable but a dream to work with—cut, carve, and finish it like timber while ensuring it lasts for generations.
This Friday, we'll be dropping this launch through Konei (Konei.nz) so stay tuned for upcoming content!
Ngā mihi nui to our partners here Te Ara Hihiko, Scott Architects, Matua Jacob Scott, Jason Kendrick, Manawa Udy, Ngahere Communities and Konei - we're honoured to be working on this kaupapa with you all. Stay tuned for more up coming content about this launch.
💬 I run a green materials company called Critical., and we help designers and brands create spaces that inspire and care for our planet using 100% recycled plastic panels called Cleanstone. Hit me up at criticaldesign.nz or DM me if you’re keen to collaborate!
