Why This New Zealand Designer Is Rejecting Beige Kitchens (And Designing with Colour Instead)

Most residential homes in Aotearoa follow a white, grey, black and beige colour pallete. It's safe and it's what we're all used to.

But this designer - Evie Kemp is proving that our kitchens or our homes doesn't have to be BORING.

Evie is the author of 'MUCH - A Maximalist's Guide to a Creative Home' and walking through her whare I swear every square inch of her home can be framed and displayed in an art gallery.

Evie and I worked on developing a new Cleanstone colour range and she used it on her kitchen benchtop.

She then selected a range of earthy colour Cleanstone: sage green, terracotta, amber yellow, pastel blue and dirty pink; and used them as a draw fronts.

Honestly it's so stunning and I can't wait to show you the finishes result.

This is a teaser on why she did it.

Follow to see the result.
