This is a quick and easy way to polish darker coloured Critical. Cleanstone.
To my joiner and designer mates out there asking me the best way to finish and retouch Cleanstone, follow these easy steps.
1. Generously and evenly wet the surface you want to sand with a drenched micro fibre cloth.
2. Apply an even sand using a random orbital sander (highest setting) and even hand pressure, across the surface you want to sand.
3. Rehydrate the sanded surface with drenched microfibre and repeat sanding if required.
4. Repeat steps 1 to 3 with a higher grit sanding disc if you want to work towards a mirror finish.
Remember to connect your random orbital sander onto a vacuum to collect up dust particles. Bag it and send it back to Critical. and we'll recycle it into new Cleanstone.
Also note that for darker colour Cleanstone the resultant finish will be slightly cloudier in appearance compared to the original mould finish. But we'll keep you updated on the latest methods to finish Cleanstone nicely, so stay tuned.
