This Malaysian restaurant is fitted out with a glowing counter made from 100% recycled plastic panels.

Desa Corner, the trendy new Malaysian restaurant on K'Road in Auckland features a beautiful glowing reception counter made using the Critical. 'Clear' Cleanstone!

Designed and built by the talented Johnathan Rowland from Eurocraft Construction, he backlit the Clear Cleanstone panels with LED strips on inside cavity of the wrap around counter, separating the kitchen from the restaurant. The result is a centre piece element in the fit out that emit a warm hue into the space.

Best part about it is that it's made from 100% recycled plastics destined for landfill right here in Auckland from Aotearoa recycled plastics consisting of:

1. recycled soft plastics and

2. white post consumer plastic packaging.

Nothing else. And when this fit out ever reaches it's end of life, Cleanstone panels will be returned to us to be made into new Cleanstone endlessly.

One more fun fact - the total carbon emissions that went into making these Cleanstone panels is approximately 0.75kg. If this was made using virgin plastics, the emissions would be approximately 262.5kgs.

Now that's beautiful and better for the planet.
