When a dining space does more than just serve great food, it tells a story—of design, culture, and sustainability. Mille's fit-out for Kasuri is a stunning example of how sustainable materials, thoughtful design and their constant obsession to help hospitality founders succeed can elevate hospitality brands and influence consumer behaviour.

And I'm obsessed with the way they used the translucent Critical. Clear Cleanstone as the feature counter - beautifully repurposing 100% recycled soft plastics and plastic packaging as the front and top of Kasuri's customer counter that literally glows.

And this is why this matters:

🌱 Today’s consumers—especially Millennials and Gen Z—demand more than aesthetics. According to a Nielsen study, 73% of global consumers are willing to change their habits to reduce environmental impact. By embedding sustainability into your design or brand kaupapa, you don’t just attract customers—you earn their loyalty.

✨ Kasuri’s interior seamlessly blends tradition and modernity through sustainable materials, colours and textures that are on brand. I was really inspired by this interior even thought it wasn't complete! From using our Critical. 'Clear' Cleanstone to the fabric textures and use of lighting ... every design element can shape how diners engage with the brand, encouraging return visits and brand affinity.

🔨 Sustainability Doesn’t Sacrifice Beauty. With fit-outs like Kasuri, Mille has proven that sustainability and aesthetics aren’t mutually exclusive. Critical. Cleanstone, our 100% recycled plastic panels, offer durability and visual impact that elevate interiors without environmental compromise. This project shows what’s possible when eco-friendly design meets creativity.
