This is what Cleanstone made using 100% recycled plastic containers look like...

We are exploring the opportunity to transform broken and end of life Sistema Plastics Limited containers into Critical. Cleanstone in today's #Cleanstone Sample Mix 017!

Requested by Sistema, whose storage containers and #lunchboxes are household favourites, this Cleanstone sample was made from 100% #recycledplastic containers from Sistema - nothing else. The bluey clear colour is from clear container bases and the speckles of colour are ... coloured containers and handle clips.

I'm a fan of companies like Sistema that design and make products that last. #Plastics were never invented to be single use, but rather products that are meant to be enduring. Think about those Tupperware containers from your grandparents day that are still kicking it today!

By turning broken and end of life storage containers already designed to last into Cleanstone, we can further extend the lifecycle of plastics beyond a lifetime in new #sustainable building material form.

I'm also quite stoked about how the colours and finish turned out. If you look close you may even find traces of that rubber seal in this sample mix too...

If you found any of this useful, I run a green building materials company called Critical. and we're passionate about supporting brands and designers create beautiful and sustainable spaces using 100% plastic waste. If you would like to request a materials sample box or book a conversation with me, send me a DM or reach out at criticaldesign.nz
